Shopify Plus is a cloud-based enterprise ecommerce platform designed for high-volume merchants that make $1M+ in revenue. It is the most complete option from Shopify and targets businesses that need an ecommerce solution with enterprise-grade selling capabilities at a lower price point.
Unfortunately, Shopify Plus is missing many of the native functionalities and the design flexibility that fast-growing businesses need to scale confidently. Shopify Plus customers are forced to leverage third-party apps for integrations with ERP systems, and seemingly standard processes like Forecasting, Planning or Purchase Order/Replenishment also require middleware or apps. Recurring costs for these apps can add up quickly, and this approach leaves customers dependent on third-party developers for regular patches and continued technical support.
These are just a few examples of the shortcomings associated with using Shopify Plus compared to SuiteCommerce Advanced.
